As a young boy, I’ve always seek to see the beauty in everything. Born in Saigon, Vietnam, I found the sprawling urban landscape to be the perfect backdrop for beautiful Vietnamese women in their traditional gowns, or Ao Dai's, if you’re familiar. The Ao Dai is conservative, yet it accentuates the beauty of a woman — it doesn’t hide her beauty. My mother was my first muse. She inspired me and was a representation of a strong, confident, and beautiful woman. I would say, my styling “career” began the first time I helped dress my mother for a wedding. It was in that moment, I realized my affinity for fashion.

I moved to the US in 2002. My family settled in a small town in the suburbs of Georgia. When I turned sixteen, I knew I wanted to work in fashion, so I got a job as a retail associate for a trendy fast-fashion retailer, rue 21. My favorite aspect of that job was helping people find outfits that make them feel confident and beautiful. After a year at Rue 21, I left to go to university in Atlanta. Following my parent’s wishes, I pursued an education in Computer Science. After three years of studying Computer Science, I decided to leave Georgia State University to pursue my true passion in life; fashion. Fall of 2018, I enrolled myself in Parson’s Continuing Education, Fashion Business program. In the meantime, I worked as a visual merchandiser for a luxury boutique in Atlanta called Bazati. They carried international brands such as Monocle, Taschen, Taller Maya, and Blumerino. It was at Bazati, where I learned the importance of brand marketing and understanding the value of luxury products.

After eight months at Bazati, I came upon the opportunity to move to London. It was an opportunity of a lifetime, so I packed my suitcase and moved to London June of 2019. Knowing that London was a big fashion capital, I wanted to seize any opportunity to learn and gain experience. As an attempt to expand my fashion network, I reached out to 40+ fashion brands at the Spring/ Summer 2020 London Fashion week. TOGA contacted me with an opportunity to work in the PR department of their runway show. I coordinated with the PR team to execute the fashion show. I attended shows for Jamie Wei Huang, Alexa Chung, Mr. Self-Portrait, and pushBUTTON. Besides LFW, I interned for BOYFRIEND Magazine, a London based fashion publication, as a stylist assistant for creative director Aaron Mark. I worked with models, makeup artists, hair artists, and photographers in a professional editorial studio.

My travels to Paris, London, Berlin, Amsterdam, and many other European cities have inspired and shaped my world view on men and women’s style. My goal is to continue to build my styling portfolio and expand my fashion network.
